I am facing same issue installing sharepoint 2010 on windows server 2008 R2 Server Type not visible. I need to install Sharepoint for Powerpivot hence Need to select “Server Farm” then ‘COmplete’. I tried about option. But did not show me anything, just moved ahead.

Let me know if this is the problem with Sharepoint 2010 RC dump or what else can done to fix ?
