Ok this is a ‘micro’ or event a tweet – but I’m not going there it took long enough for me to get into blogging never mind Twittering.

Anyway to the point.

I’m always referring to the SharePoint 12 hive directory structure and, rather than always typing this long file path out I’m going to write it here then link to this page in future blogs.

On the assumption you installed SharePoint or WSS to the root C drive of your server the path is going to be

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12
